was released from Prison after a simple DNA test exonerated him.
Ray had been wrongfully
convicted as the 1991 'Snaggletooth Killer' and had always maintained
his innocence during his incarceration. During Ray's imprisonment

Death Row inmate
faced execution even after proven innocent !
More than three years ago,
On Dec. 6, 1995, an innocent man came within hours of being executed for
a murder he did not
commit. Paris Carriger had been on Arizona's death row since 1978. The
real murderer, whose false testimony had convicted Carriger, confessed
to the crime in 1987. But the
Arizona courts refused to
grant him a new trial saying he had exhausted his rights to appeal !
Because there were no
technical deficiencies in the state case, the federal courts had
declined to intervene even as late as Nov. 30, 1995. At the last
moment, a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for
the Ninth Circuit issued a stay of execution.

Court of Justice Condemns the U.S.
The
International Court of Justice
(ICJ), which has its seat in
The
Hague, is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations.
Under, the
Vienna Convention on Consular Rights, the U.S. government has the
obligation of informing any foreign citizen arrested on U.S. soil of
their consular rights, but often violates the convention.
Arizona authorities violated international law nine
(9) times with Capital cases in their failure
to comply with the
notification provisions of Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on
Consular Relations.

LaGrand
was
the 1st German citizen executed in the United States
since World War II, when several
prisoners
of
war were hanged. LaGrand apologized to the
family of his victim and to a woman injured during the robbery.

It
was the state's 1st use of the gas chamber since 1992. "To all my
loved ones, I hope they find peace," he said. "To all of you here
today, I forgive you and I hope I can be forgiven in my next life."

enjoy reading books that are both fiction and non fiction. I
enjoy reading everything except romance novels. I have no
favourite author to speak of. What do you like to
read? I also enjoy reading poetry. My favourite poets are
D.H Lawrence, Robert Frost, and WB Yeats. Who are your favourite

I
also really enjoy listening to music. I favour the oldie
but goodies stations that play Creedence Clearwater, James Taylor,

and Papas and so on. I also enjoy some classicals. I enjoy
Strauss waltzes, and composer such as Wagner and Vivaldi (Four
Seasons). What type of music do you like?
I am
also interested in subjects such as astronomy and zoology. I
really enjoy documentaries on the Public Broadcasting Channel. Do
you have any special areas of interest? Now! What I really enjoy
doing is following the financial markets of the world, with an emphasis
on stocks. I have spent years studying the financial markets of

Claude Maturana, Mental
ability of a 9 year-old child
He
died during surgery - December 26, 2002
He died on December 26, 2002 while undergoing surgery. Diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic,
Claude was being treated by authorities in Arizona so he could be declared "mentally competent"
and executed. Maturana's mental condition had deteriorated considerably since the time
of his incarceration. " He was 'so far gone'...He talked daily about visits from his mother who died 30
years ago and believed that he was already dead." As usual, Arizona authorities violated US obligations under international law by refusing to allow a foreign citizen the right to contact their government for assistance upon arrest. (See: Article
