There is a much needed movement taking place
around the globe to the benefit of mankind. Several
religious groups and others are on the front line to
rid society of the death penalty. I am fully aware
of the shariah dealing with executions, the fact is the
death penalty is being given like a voters ballot. The
majority of those awaiting execution in prisons in
North America are blacks, indians, and latinos, which
come from the lower class of people, victimized by
society and the government. The Prophet Muhammad
(PbUH) in his farewell sermon commanded the
ummah to deal with injustice. Even though Islam
commands the death penalty if its needed, according
to the shariah, but its not needed, but Islam is. There
are about 500, 000 Muslims in America's prisons,
which most wasn't practicing Islam before
imprisonment. Muslims join coalitions of thousands
of people fighting to abolish the death penalty and
judicial injustice. Allah guide us!
