The Living Dead - By Nanon Williams
Abandoning all life whoever enters this grave
Buried in a domain of darkness
Only lost entities dwell
Death reeks all around...
They feel their bodies are empty
Filled with despair
Obsessed with delusion
An existence full of confusion
Bland, polite, timid, and soft-spoken
They let no one get close to them
Remaining inanimate while self-defeated
Protecting the risk of being deprived of love
The void has been filled
Replaced with sadness, anger, reality
Standing amidst the insanity
Marveling at the living hell around them
The death sentence
Death row...
A place where death is welcomed
Just to escape cries of the living dead
NANON McKewn WILLIAMS
African-American
Date of birth: 2/8/1974
age at the time of the offense: 17
No prior felony
Eight years ago, in Texas, Nanon Williams has been convicted of First Degree murder of 19 Adonius Collier. They both were purchasing drug (says the TDCJ) Nanon would have pulled a 25 caliber pistol and shot Collier and another man. As the second fled, he would have fired a second shotgun into Colliera's head. Then he would have left Texas for his native California, Los Angeles, where he has been arrested three months later. Nanon
is a child from the ghetto. But a brilliant one. Unfortunately, his father,
involved with a big drug deal, has been killed when he was 12. Nanon is
born in a world which only knows violence. With such a family, it was
easy to convict him. Since eight years, he lives in Ellis Unit death
row. He writes and read. Before prison, he wanted to attend a university
and obtain a degree in psychology. He is, in fact, a fantastic writer
and should be published.
After
seven years, his attorney, Helen Beardlsey, found out that the guy
who testified against Nanon confessed to the crime on a tape and was
arrested with the murder weapon.
But
the state hid this evidence, fabricated an autopsy report and ballistic
test, basically creating a case that never was. Nanon's attorney is
now waiting a dismissal, but nothing comes. Nanon Williams is 25.

NANON'S PEN PAL REQUEST :
My name is Nanon
Williams and I am a Texas death row prisoner searching
for correspondence.
I spend most of my time writing as I've learned it is our greatest form
of communication and expression. I have my own newsletter
that I place out every
sixty days and I write books.
I'm searching for
someone in whom can express themselves as freely as
I'm willing to express
myself. Age or race is of no importance, as the human
heart doesn't have
a color.
No one knows what
tomorrow brings and I would long to develop friendships,
so when tomorrow comes
I can have someone to share them with.
My height is 6' 1
1/2" and I'm a muscular 225 lbs. My hair is black and very
curly and my eyes
brown. I will respond to all letters, and I look forward to
receiving them. If
you would like to read some of my writing please go to
the Nanon Williams Support Association (NAWISA)
webpage.
Sincerely,
Nanon Williams # 999163
