RICHARD'S PENPAL REQUEST AT 'LAMP OF HOPE'

RICHARD'S CCADP Penpal Request :

3-30-03  Sunday PM

Hello,
Dear Sir / Madam :

I am interested in writing to a pen-pal or two.  I am the newest prisoner on Georgia's Death Row. By now, I have only been here since September 2002.  My name is, Richard L Sealey.  I a a 38 year young (4-18-64).  I am 6'2" inches tall and weigh approximately 229 pounds.  I am a Black male, whose parents are from a tiny island in the caribbean.  The island of St. Croix.  Which is a territory of the United States.  But, I am originally from New York.  I would like to correspond with anyone who is looking for friendship.  I accpt people for who and what they are. So, age, race, sex, sexual orientation or religious beliefs does not matter. I believe that what we do today shapes our tomorrows.  And, I've taken this opportunity to reach out and make new friends !  I am full of life and inspiration.  I won't let any circumstance or situation take this from me.  I love animals, nature, and the ocean.  I enjoy reading, writing and playing sports.  I especially love playing basketball, baseball, baseball soccer and swimming.  My favourite authors are Robert Ludlom, Tom Clancy, Sidney Sheldon, and Scott Turow.   I also like reading about history.  From The Asian, The European, Native Americans, and of course, Black history.  I am also an amateur poet.  I write poems simply for enjoyment and the pleasure of writing.  I will enclose one for your reading.  Tell me what you think of it.  Please feel free to talk on any subject.  Even my situation is open for discussion.  I will respond to any and all letters.  Until then, take care and best wishes

Always,
Richard

POEM BY RICHARD SEALEY :

"Little Things"

The little things that happen are tucked into my mnind, And come again to greet you or most of them I'll find.  Through many little doorways of which I keep the keys, they crowd into my thinking, I call them memories.  But some of them are rovers and wander off and get so lost, the keys grow rusty, and that means I forget.  But some stay ever near me, I'll find they never rove, the keys are always shining, those are the things I Love!"
